Wing Suit Flying in Norway: Video of the Week

OK, so this has absolutely nothing to do with real estate.

But it’s wicked cool.

I’ll freely admit that certain parts of my anatomy are not large enough to do what these guys do.

For those not aware, “terminal velocity” is the constant maximum velocity reached by a body falling through the atmosphere under the attraction of gravity. For a skydiver, that’s about 124 MPH (200 KPH).

These guys are nuts.

We always appreciate your comments! Phoenix Real Estate Guy uses two commenting systems, Facebook and LiveFyre. LiveFyre is the most robust system (and easy to use!). It allows you to login with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ LinkedIn, OpenId, LiveFyre and as a "Guest". I recommend getting a LiveFyre account, it has some great features (just click the LiveFyre button when you write your comment).

BLOG COMMENT POLICY: We respectfully ask that you use your real name (first name only is fine) and not use keywords (Why no keywords?). The only real "comment rules" are be civil -- no personal attacks -- and no advertising. (See the full comment policy here). Opinion and debate are welcome, but attack the idea, not the person.

Same here. I've probably seen this one, and a few like it, a dozen or so times in the past week or two. It's about as close as it comes to the flying dreams a lot of us had as kids. Must be amazing.

Looks like a lot of fun. A bit nuts, but that's why I like it.

Alright, I'll be the first to call it - wingsuit jumping shows up in the next Bond movie. Hee.

I think you got the "nuts" part right.

Wow! I have to take my hat off to these guys; they are crazy, but that looks amazing!

That is quite the amazing video, you've got to have some serious guts to do this.

Wow, that is just amazing! One little gust while buzzing the walls and it would be over.

I love Vimeo, I can waste 20 minutes a time on the HD channel.

I logged close to 60 minutes of freefall time doing almost 60 skydiving days when in college. If this wing had been around back then, I would have been all over it. Now? I'm a bit too mortal!

Skiing - love. This? Ummmm.... no thank you.

This video has been making the rounds for about 6 months now. No matter how many times it has been reposted I can't help but watch it 3 or 4 times. Amazing!

Wow, that is crazy. It looks like fun, but I couldn't bring myself to do something like that. With as close as they are flying to the cliff, it would only take the wind blowing in the wrong direction or a small branch to wreak havoc.
